CORE folio
Brasserie Beck by Chef Robert Wiedmaier
restaurant/bar • 8,500 sf • Washington, DC

CORE’s approach was to exploit the scale and proportion of the space, an expansive 8,500 square foot floor plan with 22’ high ceilings. On the exterior, a signature clock set atop a stylized steel and glass entry leads to the vestibule, with the signature “BB” logo in the mosaic floor. Diners are led to the leather-tufted hostess stand and the restaurant beyond. The exhibition kitchen is housed in a steel framed structure with clear and textured glass panels above a cobalt blue tiled waist-high wall, creating an “epicurean solarium.”
