The glowing neon COMET starburst sign marks the storefront of this urban pizzeria. A former Thai restaurant was stripped to the walls and rafters to reveal beautifully decayed layers of colorful plaster, concrete floors, 16” raw timber beams, 18' ceilings and skylights. CORE worked with owners James Alefantis and Carole Greenwood to conceptualize the space. Metal artisan Joe Wills executed the steel-framed tables, booths and custom light fixtures.
